One of the most compelling questions surrounding Tesla Inc's (NASDAQ:TSLA) upcoming bulletproof Cybertruck has been its driving range. Since Tesla removed all information from its website two years ago, speculation swirled about what the electric pickup's real-world range might be.
Now, new insights have come to light, thanks to a post on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum. As reported by Teslarati, a user named CHC spotted a release candidate (RC) unit of the Cybertruck at a Supercharger station in Mojave, California.
According to CHC, the Cybertruck at the Supercharger station was unable to charge at a new V4 Supercharger, and a tow truck was en route to retrieve it.

During this time, the original poster engaged in a conversation with a Tesla engineer present at the scene. While the engineer did not provide exact figures on the Cybertruck's range, he did mention it would be "as good as or as better than a Model X." For context, the Long Range Tesla Model X has an EPA-estimated range of 348 miles on a full charge.
With the first Cybertruck units set to be delivered at the end of November, it seems that Tesla is still keeping some details under wraps, including range.
The Cybertruck has been spotted often lately, including one sporting cargo racks at Supercharger in California.
