The intelligent transformation represented by L4 autonomous driving technology is the biggest trend in transportation transformation in the next ten years. Didi has seven years of deep accumulation in core technologies for autonomous driving and will continue to invest firmly. “A shared mobility network with hybrid dispatch can solve the cold start problem of autonomous driving technology to a great extent, and allow autonomous driving technology to gradually enter people's lives. “By combining driver networks with autonomous vehicle networks, it is possible to provide users with stable, safe, efficient, comfortable and cost-effective travel services,” Zhang Bo said.

According to reports, at present, Didi Autonomous Driving has been operating safely for more than 1,200 days, and has implemented mixed dispatch orders within the Shanghai and Guangzhou operating areas. Passengers can use the autonomous driving travel service through the Didi App as a supplement to the online car-hailing service. In addition, Didi Autonomous Driving is also actively collaborating with GAC Aian to jointly build a safe, reliable, comfortable, and low-cost driverless new energy vehicle. The first mass-produced model will be connected to the Didi Chuxing Network in 2025.

Behind autonomous driving services, an efficient operation system is inseparable. Zhang Bo revealed that focusing on large-scale operation scenarios, Didi Autonomous Driving has built the first autonomous driving operation and maintenance center - Huiju Port, which can automatically meet the needs of vehicles during operation, automatically dispatch, order, and return to Hong Kong. Robots can also intelligently wash, charge, inspect, and park vehicles. The automation rate of the whole process has reached 90%. “Didi is actively promoting technological innovation, promoting the commercial large-scale application of autonomous driving, and hopes to work with all industry partners in the transportation sector,” Zhang Bo said.
