Shanghai2023/9/28 /PRNewswire/ -- On September 28, the 2022-2023 “Shanghai Design 100+” press conference and “Design Innovative Cities” theme forum were held at the “World Design Capital Conference”. Wu Jincheng, Director of the Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Commission, Director of the UNESCO Cities and Activities Department, and Secretary General of the “Creative Cities Network” Denise Bax, and representatives of the winning companies attended the event. The Moroccan “modular vaccine factory” project designed and built by Morimatsu Farmado was successfully selected as “Shanghai Design 100+” in 2022-2023. Mr. Li Daoquan, Senior Vice President of Morimatsu Life Technology, attended the ceremony on behalf of the company and received the award.

“Shanghai Design 100+” began in Shanghai and is aimed at the world. It solicits, displays, and promotes outstanding designs of the year. It is not only an important initiative for Shanghai to build a world-class “design capital”, but also a stage for global design wisdom to collide, exchange, transform, and share. This year, it attracted 2,542 outstanding project submissions from 18 countries and regions, including China, the United States, France, Italy, and Spain. Through a “public vote+expert vote+industrial sector vote” decision mechanism, the final list was decided by combining 160,000 public votes, 100 Chinese and foreign expert votes, and industrial departments in Shanghai and 16 districts. The “modular vaccine factory” project designed and built by Morimatsu Farmado for a Moroccan customer stood out. This is a high recognition of Morimatsu's design and construction capabilities by the government, industry, and the public.

The modular vaccine factory is a national project in Morocco. It is also the largest modular vaccine factory exported by China to Africa. It can achieve aseptic filling of more than 20 kinds of vaccines and other products, including COVID-19 vaccines. It includes 3 filling workshops, 3 packaging workshops, and a QC laboratory, with a construction area of about 10,000 square meters. The project has filled a gap in vaccine production in Africa, and is expected to meet more than 70% of Morocco's own vaccine needs in the future.

Morimatsu brings together innovative design wisdom to empower companies in the vaccine field to accelerate R&D and listing, and benefit patients around the world. Using this award as a new impetus, Morimatsu will continue to focus on research, strive for new breakthroughs, continue to deepen design, and contribute to building a world-class design capital in Shanghai.
