Wi-LAN said on Wednesday that the company and its unit, including Polaris Innovations, have entered into a license and settlement agreement with Broadcom (AVGO).
The semiconductor maker has obtained a license to patents owned by WiLAN and its units.
The agreement also includes the settlement and dismal of all pending patent litigation between both the companies in U.S. and Germany.
In July, Wi-LAN, which was earlier owned by Quarterhill (TSX:QTRH:CA) was sold to Owlpoint IP Opportunities JVF LP.
QTRH now owns 10% in WiLan.
