Zhitong Financial App News, Sinopharm Technology Co., Ltd (08156) issued a notice that the company received a letter dated September 12, 2023 from the official receiver's Office of Hong Kong, and noted that, among them, Creative Big Limited (convertible bonds have been transferred by the original bondholder) has filed a winding-up petition (company (winding-up) proceedings no. 391 of 2023) to the Court of first instance of the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative region on 31 August 2023. The company is required to be wound up in accordance with the provisions of the companies (Winding-up and Miscellaneous provisions) Ordinance (Cap. 32). The petition is directed against the company for the repayment of the principal amount and accrued interest of the convertible bonds totalling HK $53.1068 million.
The High Court has fixed the date for the hearing of the petition as 15 November 2023. The petition is presented to the High Court only as an application for the winding up of a company, and as of the date of this notice, the High Court has not made a winding-up order to wind up the company.
