China General Education (02175) issued an announcement that (after considering the urgent need to complete the audit of the company's 2022 annual results and related costs), the board of directors has requested Ernst & Young (Ernst & Young) to resign as the company's auditor through the Board Review Committee. Following these communications, Ernst & Young has resigned as auditor of the company with effect from 1 September 2023.
Upon the recommendation of the audit committee of the board of directors, it has decided to appoint Dahua Ma Shiyun Accounting firm Co., Ltd. as the company's new auditor, effective from the completion of its internal appointment process by Dahua Ma Shiyun Accounting firm Co., Ltd. to fill the temporary vacancy after the resignation of Ernst & Young until the end of the company's next annual general meeting.
