Zhitong Financial APP, Gaoshan Enterprise (00616) announced that it had acquired a total of 10.508 million Pak Fu (01488) shares in a series of transactions conducted in the open market through Wing Ta Heng, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, during the relevant period at a total purchase price of HK $12.4549 million (excluding stamp duty and related fees) (equivalent to an average purchase price of about HK $1.185 per purchased share). Immediately following these acquisitions, the Group holds 33.126 million Pak Fook shares (representing approximately 2.10% of the total issued share capital of Pak Fook as at the date of this announcement).
These acquisitions are in line with the main business of the Group's securities investment. The Board takes a positive view on Pak Fook's financial performance and future prospects and considers that these acquisitions provide attractive investment opportunities for the Group and can enhance the Group's investment return.
