Zhitong Financial APP News, Shide Global (00487) released interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, the group achieved a profit of HK $68.444 million, an increase of 25.5% over the same period last year. The profit attributable to the company's shareholders was HK $154 million, compared with a loss of HK $125 million in the same period last year.
According to the announcement, the turn from loss to profit was mainly due to the recognition of significant fair value gains of approximately HK $105.5 million in respect of the Group's overseas listed equity securities and the Group's share of profits attributable to associates of approximately HK $71.6 million.
