Zhitong Financial App News, Century Jianye (00079) released its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, with a profit of HK $25.425 million, an increase of 51.91% over the same period last year, and a loss of HK $22.324 million for the owners of the company, an increase of 50.35% over the same period last year. According to the announcement, the increase in net loss was mainly due to an increase of HK $4.745 million in the fair value loss of financial assets at fair value included in profit or loss, and a loss of HK $4.7 million on the fair value of investment properties, while there was no change in the fair value of investment properties and an increase of HK $3.599 million in bank interest expenses in the first half of 2022. The Group achieved an interim loss of HK $6.767 million (first half of 2022: net loss of HK $8.842 million) before accounting for financial assets at fair value in profit or loss and fair value loss on investment property.
