According to Zhitong Financial App, Yima International (00585) announced its 2023 interim results, with total revenue of HK$32.899 million, a year-on-year decrease of 17%; profit attributable to company owners was HK$4,064 million, a year-on-year decrease of 75.55%; and profit of HK0.48 cents per share.
According to the announcement, the decrease in profit was mainly due to a decrease of about 29% and 34% respectively in the revenue of the Securities Brokerage and Asset Management Division and the Financing Division during the review period; unrealized losses due to changes in the fair value of investments classified as holding and trading of listed equity capital increased from about HK$2 million in the previous period to about HK$7 million in the review period; and impairment provisions confirmed twice as much for margin loans receivable during the review period. The above factors were partially offset by the fact that there were no sales of net realized losses on listed equity investments classified as held and traded during the review period (prior period: approximately HK$7.9 million).
