01196.HK announced that for the six months ended June 30, 2023, the company's total income was 392 million Hong Kong dollars, down 32.7% from the same period last year. Net profit in the first half of 2023 was HK $26 million, a decrease of HK $178 million compared with HK $204 million in the first half of 2022.
The decrease was mainly due to the following net effects: (I) customer demand for copper under high copper prices decreased significantly in the first quarter of 2023, resulting in a decrease of HK $185500000 in income from the environmental category; (ii) a decrease of HK $37500000 from the auto parts segment; and (iii) an increase of HK $25100000 from the financial services segment.
