交通运输部:7月交通运输经济继续保持恢复态势 港口货物吞吐量保持增长

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 24, the Ministry of Transport released transportation data for July. Overall, the transportation economy continued to recover in July, and the main indicators all achieved year-on-year growth. By sector, the growth rate of cargo volume has rebounded, the movement of people has continued to increase, driven by the summer season, port cargo throughput has continued to grow, and the scale of transportation investment is running at a high level.

In terms of freight. In July, 4.74 billion tons of commercial cargo were completed, an increase of 7.1% over the previous year and 2.8 percentage points faster than in June. By method, railways increased 0.1% year on year, highways increased 8% year on year, waterways increased 6.9% year on year, and civil aviation increased 11.6% year on year.

In terms of passenger transportation. In July, it completed 910 million commercial passenger traffic, an increase of 47% over the previous year. The country completed 8.21 billion urban passenger traffic, an increase of 14.7% over the previous year. The number of passenger trips completed by passenger buses with 9 seats and below on expressways was 2.07 billion, an increase of 20.2% over the previous year.

In terms of port cargo throughput. In July, it completed port cargo throughput of 1.43 billion tons, an increase of 6.6% over the previous year. Among them, domestic and foreign trade throughput increased by 5.8% and 8.5%, respectively. The completed container throughput was 2.75 million TEUs (TEU), an increase of 2.6% over the previous year.

In terms of transportation fixed asset investment. In July, it completed investment of 348.6 billion yuan in fixed transportation assets, an increase of 5.3% over the previous year. By method, railways completed investment of 66.4 billion yuan, an increase of 8% over the previous year; completed investment of 271.6 billion yuan in highways and waterways, an increase of 4.8% over the previous year; and civil aviation completed investment of 10.5 billion yuan, an increase of 2.5% over the previous year.
