Zhitong Financial APP News, Australia Holdings (09929) issued a notice, the company's board of directors recently learned that between June and August 2023, the original Court of the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative region filed six writ of summons. The defendants listed in the writ include, among other things, the company and certain current and former members of the board of directors. According to existing records, the plaintiff is a shareholder of the company. In the writ, the plaintiff filed a number of allegations against the company's misconduct. The allegations relate mainly to the authenticity of the Group's financial information and the misconduct of the directors and their business partners. In the writ, the plaintiff requires, among other things, that the company pay a special dividend to its shareholders upon receipt of damages from other defendants. As at the date of this announcement, none of the company or its management has received a formal writ of service.
The company categorically denies the allegations and is seeking legal advice to take all necessary legal action to protect the rights and interests of the company and its shareholders.
In early August, Yin Minqiang, the chairman and non-executive director of the company, received an anonymous letter containing death threats against him and requesting certain interests in the company's shares. The incident has been reported to the Hong Kong Police Force and is under investigation. The company condemns all acts of violence or nuisance against its board members and managers.
