Zhitong Financial APP News, Harbour Enterprises (00051) announced interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, with revenue of HK $673 million, up 25.09% year-on-year; loss attributable to shareholders of HK $12 million, down 91.18% from the same period last year; loss per share of HK $0.02.
Hotel revenue rose 106 per cent year-on-year to HK $454 million and operating profit increased to HK $15 million, the announcement said. Hong Kong hotel revenue rose 102 per cent year-on-year to HK $393 million, while operating profit was HK $18 million, thanks to higher occupancy and room rates at Marco Polo and Murray Hong Kong. Mainland revenue rose 144 per cent year-on-year, while operating loss decreased to HK $3 million (2022: HK $49 million), mainly due to increased occupancy at Nieglo hotels in Suzhou and the closure of Hotel Marco Polo in Changzhou.
