Zhitong Financial APP News, MasterCard International (00898) issued an announcement that the Group is expected to make a consolidated profit before tax of HK $130 million to HK $150 million for the six months ended June 30, 2023, compared with a consolidated profit of HK $113 million for the six months ended June 30, 2022.
It is learnt that the increase in expected profit for the period is mainly due to an increase in the unrealised fair value net income of the Group's equity investments to about HK $75 million (compared with the same period last year: net income of about HK $16 million); and dividend income from equity investments held by the Group increased to about HK $17 million (same period last year: about HK $10 million).
