On July 17, Taizhou Meteorological Observatory issued an orange rainstorm warning signal, initiating flood control Ⅳ emergency response. Before that, rare torrential rains began to occur in the central and northern part of the region on July 6.
Whether this will have an adverse impact on local companies is attracting market attention.
According to Wind data, a total of 16 A-share companies have registered addresses in Taizhou.
Some local companies have issued announcements confirming that production and operation have been affected.
On July 15th 688670.SH, a flu vaccine company, announced that the factory was flooded.
"there was a torrential rain in the Medical High-tech Zone (Gaogang District), Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, which affected the company's factory building and the production environment of some of the workshops were affected by water seepage. After continuous environmental monitoring and comprehensive assessment, the company decided to temporarily stop production of influenza vaccine workshop from July 15, 2023." Kindick said.

In order to understand the potential impact of the torrential rain, ID:TradeWind01 called the remaining 15 listed companies, including 688399.SH and 830946.BJ, which responded that there was no impact for the time being.
Senxuan Pharmaceutical, a raw material drug company, for example, says that although it is registered in Taizhou, its main factories are in Nantong, Shandong and Ningxia, so its impact is limited.
At present, the company is registered in Taizhou, which is the registration place of a headquarters of management, and the current business is mainly concentrated in Nantong, Shandong and Ningxia. So if it rains, it doesn't have much impact. " Sen Xuan Medicine told ID:TradeWind01.
Another listed company told ID:TradeWind01 that the current rainfall is relatively small and the operation is normal.
"it rained for a while today, but there was no rain. It's normal for us to operate now, isn't it? nothing special." Home appliance enterprise Chunlan shares (600854.SH) confirmed to ID:TradeWind01.
However, there are still five listed companies with registered addresses in Taizhou, namely Yahong Medicine-U (688176.SH), Precision forging Technology (300258.SZ), Shengnan Technology (837006.BJ), 688426.SH (Kangwei Century) and Zhongyu Technology (871694.BJ), which can not be connected / unanswered.
Whether the torrential rain will cause more chain reactions, the market is continuing to pay attention.
