The Zhitong Finance App learned that the sales volume of Emperor Watch & Jewellery (00887) rose 24% in early trading. As of press release, it rose 22.56% to HK$0.201, with a turnover of HK$1,965 million.
According to the news, Emperor Watch & Jewellery announced that the Group expects to obtain a net profit of not less than HK$180 million (2022: HK$86 million) in the six months ending June 30, 2023. The sharp increase in net profit by more than 1 times in the current period is mainly due to the excellent retail performance in mainland China and the return of tourism to high-end consumption in Hong Kong and Macau, China, which has led to a rise of more than 40% in total revenue during the period.
