Update: A new update has been tweeted by chi11eddog which shows the MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi motherboard running 192 GB (48 GB x 4) DDR5 memory modules from Corsair, rated at up to 6000 Mbps running perfectly on the motherboard. The screenshot can be seen below:

MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFI 192 GB DDR5-6000 Memory:

A few weeks back, we reported that AMD was working with its partners to deliver the latest AMD AGESA 1.0.0.7 BIOS firmware which would enable support for 24 GB and 48 GB Non-Binary DDR5 memory. ASUS recently showcased how their support was being baked into the latest firmware & was expected to roll out soon.

Now as we wait for ASUS to roll out its AMD AM5 motherboard BIOS, new updates from MSI and Gigabyte have come forward which confirm that the latest BIOS is ready & we are just waiting for motherboard makers to start releasing it. The first update comes from leaker, Chi11eddog, who's showing off a screenshot from the CPU-z that lists down four 24 GB DDR5-6400 memory running on an MSI X670E Carbon WiFi motherboard. The motherboard can be seen featuring a total of 96 GB capacity. The memory modules are from V-Color that make use of the brand-new SK Hynix 24 Gb modules.

The second update comes from Coolaler forums where community member, JHL88, has posted a screenshot of the Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master motherboard with the T20c BIOS running up to 192 GB of DDR5-6000 memory. The motherboard was equipped with four 48 GB memory DIMMs. Performance is measured at both DDR5-5600 and DDR5-6000 OC speeds and the resultant AIDA64 tests are posted can be seen below running the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs:

While there's no word on the actual launch timeframe for the new BIOS, our sources have already mentioned that it will be available by various motherboard vendors in April or next month so stay tuned for more information from AMD and its partners.
