11:11 AM EST, 01/27/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Perella Weinberg Partners had its London headquarters searched on Jan. 25 as Frankfurt prosecutors examined an inside trading case, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
German officials are looking into allegations that an employee at the investment bank disclosed information on planned takeovers, allowing other suspects to trade on that information.
Perella has suspended the employee in question, the sources said. The suspects allegedly earned a "two digit million" euro amount through the scheme.
