Mako Mining (OTCQX:MAKOF) (TSXV: MKO) said Wednesday it recovered 9,882 ounces of gold and 16,268 oz of silver from its San Albino gold mine in northern Nicaragua during the fourth quarter.
Gold and silver sales in Q4 were 9,956 oz of gold, and 9,955 oz of silver, respectively.
The company said it intends to continue optimizing the plant, and expects to operate it at 600 tonnes per day later in Q1 2023.
"Now that the gold price is 10% higher than what was realized in Q4 2022, our balance sheet will accelerate its strengthening, even after budgeting nearly $10 million of exploration expenditures for 2023," CEO Akiba Leisman said.
