The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Central China Securities

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider sale was by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mingjun Jian, for HK$1.1m worth of shares, at about HK$1.40 per share. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is HK$1.03. So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it. Mingjun Jian was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.

Mingjun Jian divested 1.29m shares over the last 12 months at an average price of CN¥1.38. The chart below shows insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year. If you want to know exactly who sold, for how much, and when, simply click on the graph below!

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. Usually, the higher the insider ownership, the more likely it is that insiders will be incentivised to build the company for the long term. Central China Securities insiders own about HK$157m worth of shares. That equates to 1.1% of the company. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
