BYD Foraying Into Jordan Car Market With Local Dealer

12:40 AM EDT, 09/29/2022 (MT Newswires) -- BYD (SHE:002594, HKG:1211) is set to enter Jordan's car market after striking an agreement with local dealer Bustami & Saheb Trading, the Chinese electric car and battery maker said in a Weibo post on Wednesday.

The parties will work together to launch a variety of BYD's new energy vehicles in Jordan.

Bustami & Saheb Chairman Rami Al-Saheb stressed the strong demand for new energy vehicles in the country due to the high cost of fuel.

The Jordan government also rolled out favorable regulations to promote the development of the new-energy vehicle sector.
