Minsheng Education's H1 Net Profit Declines; Shares Slip 3%

12:48 AM EDT, 08/18/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Minsheng Education Group's (HKG:1569) profit attributable to owners for the six months ended June 30 fell year over year to 339.4 million yuan ($50 million) from 383.9 million yuan in the year prior, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.

Earnings per share dropped to 0.081 yuan from 0.091 yuan.

The education services company's revenue climbed to 1.27 billion yuan from 1.24 billion yuan, while gross profit rose to 734.2 million yuan from 726.9 million yuan in the year prior.

Minsheng Education's board did not recommend the payment of an interim dividend in the first half of 2022.

Shares slipped 3% in recent trade.
