Academy Sports And Outdoors Launches First Virginia Store

Academy Sports And Outdoors Inc (NASDAQ:ASO) has launched its first Richmond, Virginia store.

The 58,075 square-foot store brings an assortment of sports and outdoor merchandise.
The Richmond location marks the third of nine new stores Academy will open this year and the first store in Virginia.
The company's goal is to open 80 to 100 new stores over the next five years.
"Academy Sports + Outdoors is excited to kickstart fun in the Richmond community by providing customers what they need to make pursuing their sports and outdoors passions easy and affordable," said Sam Johnson, Academy's EVP of Retail Operations.
Price Action: ASO shares are trading higher by 0.87% at $47.71 on the last check Tuesday.
