Hainan Poly Pharm Wins Nod to Market Generic Anti-Fungal Drug in New Zealand

12:37 AM EDT, 08/01/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Hainan Poly Pharm (SHE:300630) has won approval from the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority to market its generic anti-fungal treatment in New Zealand.

The Chinese drugmaker's VFEND voriconazole 200 milligram injection is designed to treat patients with progressive, potentially life-threatening fungal infections, according to a filing on Monday.

The injection is a generic variant of Pfizer's voriconazole, which was approved for use by the European Medicines Agency in March 2002 and the US Food and Drug Administration in May 2002.
