TAO HUA AN HAS BEEN NOMINATED AS AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND WILL TAKE EFFECT UPON SHAREHOLDER APPROVAL AT THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING FOR THE TERM UNTIL THE END OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ON DECEMBER 31, 2026. This nomination is to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Yu Cheok Ping, who is not seeking a permanent position due to his focus on scientific research. Mr. Tao Hua-an has extensive expertise and experience and has confirmed compliance with all the requirements for independence in Hong Kong Listing Rules. He is currently a Partner at Beijing Hairun Tianui Law Firm and an Independent Director of Shanghai Oupmai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and is not associated with any directors, senior management or major shareholders of Weichai Power. WEICHAI POWER WILL SEND A CIRCULAR TO SHAREHOLDERS DETAILING MR. TAO HUA AN'S ELECTION AND ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
