The Group has benefited from stable contributions from its core business in Hong Kong and the Mainland of China, as well as significant improvements in its overseas business. The change in fair value was reversed from losses in 2022 to gains in 2023, with total profit rebounding strongly to HK$6,655 million from HK$924 million a year earlier.
