EC Healthcare announced on 4 January 2024 that it completed the acquisition of an additional 12.38% stake in New Asia at a total cost of HK$3300 million. The transaction gives Doctor Health an approximate 55.26% shareholding in New Asia, which will become a subsidiary of Doctor Health. The acquisition is in addition to the previously acquired share capital of Active Compass Limited and Chi Kai International Limited on November 30, 2023, at which time MedHealth acquired 42.88% of shares in New Asia. Upon completion of the acquisition, New Asia's financial results will be included in Doctors Health's financial statements.
