Senior csi commodity equity index analyst Jeff Currie of the carlyle group stated that due to the involvement of major oil-producing countries Iran and Russia in conflict, the global crude oil supply is facing the highest risk in decades. He believes that the current geopolitical turmoil constitutes a particularly dangerous situation, with risks never been so high in our lifetime. Therefore, Brent crude oil may rise by another $10 from the current level of around $77 per barrel. However, he added that the commodity market is shrouded in a 'short-sighted' mentality, and investors are still unwilling to take positions.
