Musk once again posted on social media to express his dissatisfaction with the Biden administration. He wrote, “Don't forget that the White House snubbed Tesla, excluded us from the EV summit, and praised GM for 'leading the electric vehicle revolution' in the same quarter. GM only delivered 26 electric vehicles (not a typo), and Tesla delivered 300,000.” One X user commented, “What exactly is the reason for this? Is it because Tesla didn't form a union? Is it because Biden doesn't like some of the controversial things Musk said?” In response, Musk said, “The majority of Democrats are union-controlled — they have far more influence than environmentalists — and this is especially true of Biden (he is happy to acknowledge this). In a speech posted by Biden on the White House website, his original words were “the UAW elected me.” The White House snubbed me long before I 'made controversial statements.
