Securities Times: Promoting cross-border e-commerce to contribute more to the growth of foreign trade

Moomoo 24/7 ·  Jan 12, 2023 13:15
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the domestic cross-border e-commerce industry has continued to develop and expand. A large number of leading enterprises have emerged, and the overall scale of cross-border e-commerce has continued to expand. As the risk of a global recession rises and external demand growth continues to slow, cross-border e-commerce will contribute more to the growth of foreign trade. Studies have shown that since the outbreak of the epidemic, cross-border e-commerce has become one of the main forces stabilizing the growth of China's foreign trade. Therefore, it is time to promote cross-border e-commerce to contribute more to the growth of foreign trade. In November 2022, the State Council agreed to approve the establishment of comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in 33 cities and regions including Langfang. After 2 expansions, the number of comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in China has reached 165. The ever-increasing number of comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones not only supports cross-border e-commerce, but also affirms previous cross-border e-commerce pilot projects, and also places hopes on the transformation and upgrading of traditional international trade.
