3. Submission Requirements of Proof of Address
• The document submitted must be a clear scan or screenshot of the original document and must not be cropped or altered.
• The name and address on the document must match the information provided in the account opening application.
• If submitting a tenancy agreement, please upload the full agreement (all pages) , not just selected pages.
• If submitting an employer's letter, the recipient must be stated as Moomoo Securities Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and must not be issued to any other third party.
4. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: Is proof of address always required for Malaysian citizens or Malaysia Permanent Residents?
Not necessarily. If the residential address you provide matches the address on your identity document (IC), no proof of address is required. Proof of address is only needed when the two addresses do not match.
Q2: What if the address on my document slightly differs from the one I filled in?
The address on your proof of address document must match the residential address you entered in your account opening application. If they do not match, we recommend either updating the address in your application or providing a document that matches your declared address.
Q3: Can I use a screenshot as proof of address?
Yes. You may submit a clear screenshot of the original document. However, please ensure that your full name, residential address, issuance date, and issuing authority are all clearly visible and legible. The screenshot must not be cropped or altered in any way.
