5. Seasonality & Year End Window Dressing: Myth or Fact?

The concept of a stock market seasonality suggests that the stock market exhibits recurring trends and behaviors during specific times of the year. One of the example is the "Santa Claus rally," where the stock market experiences a positive upswing in the latter portion of December near Christmas and New Year's Day.

"Window Dressing" in stock market refers to trading activities near the end of a quarter or fiscal year that is designed to improve the appearance of a portfolio to be presented to clients or shareholders.

Based on the table below, worth to note that from the past 10 years (2013 - 2022), December is most likely the best month of the year, with 9 out of 10 ended with gains, while September potentailly the worst performer of the year, with 8 out of 10 in losses.
