On April 6th last year, I got 25,000GBP as inheritance so i thought I'd try my hand at trading/investing on the stock market. Since then I have made 70,000GBP including my initial investment. Below are the tickers i made most of my profit on.

I wouldn't call it "beginner's luck" but I was told that the first two months after I started trading have produced conditions that I would never see again for years or decades at a time. I believed I've done great and it's obvious that I've pushed all the right buttons.
If I was investing in stocks that were hit by Covid I would be dead. But 2 were SPACS and 1 other is changing their whole business direction. Then I realized that I may not be able to pull it off again so I had listened to other people's advice. I put most into safer high dividend stocks and keep my original investment so that I can rinse and repeat.
So I put 50k into safer stocks and kept 20k to play with so that I would still be able to have the fun of SPACS and penny stocks and have a safe knowledge that my other money is growing slowly.
