Ricardo Salinas Prigo (Ricardo Salinas Pliego), Mexico's third richest man, says he supports the use of bitcoin and that his Aztec bank, (Banco Azteca), is preparing to accept bitcoin.
Prigo wrote in a tweet in response to Michael (Michael Saylor), founder and CEO of Microstrategy, a well-known Bitcoin advocate: "of course, I recommend Bitcoin. My bank and I are trying to become the first bank in Mexico to accept Bitcoin. If you need more details or information, please visit my Twitter."Follow me on the account. "
Mr. Seller cited a previous video from Mr. Prigo, in which he said bitcoins should be in every investor's portfolio, attacking "legal" currencies, calling them "fraud" and "stench."
Mr Prigo said last year that he had invested 10 per cent of his liquid portfolio in bitcoin. The Mexican tycoon's wealth, including stakes in retail, banking and broadcasting, has risen by $2.8 billion this year to $15.8 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
