[Snuggle Overview]

The Nikkei Average on 5/13 started with a slight drop of 38211.61 yen, 17.50 yen lower than the previous weekend. In the US market on the 10th, the Dow average rose 125.08 dollars to 39512.84 dollars, and the NASDAQ closed at 16340.87, which fell 5.39 points. It rose after being close to purchases in response to expectations of a soft landing. Since the May Michigan Consumer Confidence Index, which was announced later, deteriorated drastically and reached a low level since November last year, the market price stalled due to concerns about economic deceleration.

In addition to the expected inflation rate of the same index rising unexpectedly, the rise in long-term interest rates weighed in response to hawkish statements denying interest rate cuts by the end of the year by senior Federal Reserve (Fed) officials, and high-tech began to decline. Towards the end of the game, the Dow expanded its gains again, but the NASDAQ was unable to recover the positive zone and ended with mixed results. Chicago Nikkei 225 futures are 38195 yen, 45 yen lower than Osaka.

Today's Nikkei Average starts ahead of sales. Although the decline was temporarily extended to over 100 yen, the decline was reduced again thereafter. Ahead of the consumer price index (CPI) announcement in the US this week, there seems to be a slight wait-and-see mood.

Lasertech <6920>, Toyota Motor Corporation <7203>, TEPCO HD <9501>, Mitsui E&S <7003>, etc. declined in the top trading price of the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. Meanwhile, ToElec <8035>, DISCO <6146>, TOWA <6315>, Honda <7267>, SoftBank G <9984>, KDDI <9433>, etc. have risen. By industry, real estate, non-ferrous metals, foodstuffs, etc. are trending at the top of the rate of decline.
