Viewing insider transactions for Veracyte, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:VCYT ) over the last year, we see that insiders were net sellers. This means that a larger number of shares were sold by insiders in relation to shares purchased.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Check out our latest analysis for Veracyte

Veracyte Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Independent Director, Evan Jones, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$181k worth of shares at a price of US$31.02 each. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. The silver lining is that this sell-down took place above the latest price (US$19.72). So it may not shed much light on insider confidence at current levels. Evan Jones was the only individual insider to sell over the last year.
