My first encounter with Moomoo is through word of mouth, when I tried the app, it feels like a game with game elements; with rewards and badges. The mascot is very cute and definitely a reason for me to stay. I wish Moomoo is able to enhance by providing 'free comission' period coupon tradable as Rewards
I personally look at the historical graph and the 5D graph to see if the stocks is in it's peak or dip. Also to check on the stocks shorted amount. If it is heavily shorted, there may be a rise soon. From the inferred data to determine if it have dipped to a great price before buying. Though it does happen that the price dipped further even after the dipped. For selling, it depends the possibility on how much the stocks is able to rise in a day in a period of time (referring to highest amount as well as amplitude metrics) , and try to sell at the best possible price. From experience, not to chase the stocks and only buy and sell when it reach the intended price, not to rush :)
I look at the metrics, Float and Amplitude. The lower the float count, the more unpredictable and volatile the stock is. The higher the amplitude, the larger fluctuations it have during a trading period. I personally pick a good range of float and amplitude to ensure there is stocks movement, around ~8% amplitude. This is just my personal preference, for traders who prefer stability to opt for lower amplitude stocks.
I'm a beginner in it, please pardon my inexperience.
