International stocks trading in New York finished lower on Friday. The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 1.3% to 164.33. The European index slipped 0.7% to 147.31. The Asian index declined 2% to 219.67. The Latin American index decreased 2.6% to 175.34. And the emerging-markets index tumbled 2.4% to 360.25.

Onion Global Ltd.'s ADRs declined 38% after the company said it agreed with certain institutional and accredited investors to raise $25 million in a private placement.

ADRs of Wolters Kluwer NV, which trade over the counter, tumbled 1.7% after the company said Friday that it has acquired LicenseLogix LLC, a provider of U.S. business licensing services. The Netherlands-based information, software and services company said the deal is expected to have an immaterial impact on its adjusted earnings for the first full year.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA's ADRs rose 5.8% after the Spanish bank reported a rise in third-quarter profit and said it received the go-ahead to launch a buyback program.

Novo Nordisk AS's ADRs rose 2.3% Friday after the Danish pharmaceutical company raised its full-year sales and operating profit guidance to reflect higher-than-expected market share gains in its Ozempic glucagon-like peptide-1 drug (GLP-1) for treating type 2 diabetes, GLP-1 market growth and obesity-care sales, mainly in the U.S.
