Whitbread's Investors Will Welcome Its Strong Recovery Momentum -- Market Talk
1023 GMT - Hotel-and-restaurant operator Whitbread showed remarkable recovery trajectory in the late part of 1H and this has continued into 2H, Goodbody says. The company noted that the high levels of leisure demand seen in the U.K. during the summer continued into the 2H, the Irish brokerage says. Although the company flagged that seasonality will affect holiday demand, the lowering of restrictions on weddings and sporting events bodes well, Goodbody says. "We believe the strong recovery momentum will be well received by investors," the broker says. Goodbody rates the stock as a hold. Shares are up 3.2% at 3,257 pence.
