Wells Fargo BankPlans are being made to return to the office, which will begin in September and tell employees that their schedule will be about the same as it was before the outbreak.

The bank, which has the largest number of employees in the United States (nearly 260000), said in an internal memo on Friday that employees who have been working remotely will be recalled to their offices from Sept. 7, a process that will continue until October. The bank will also start collecting vaccinations for its employees next week.

"when we return, our schedule will be broadly similar to the way we worked before the pandemic, with additional flexibility," Scott Powell, chief operating officer, wrote in a memo. "choosing not to be vaccinated will not affect your ability to work remotely."

In recent weeks, Bank of AmericaThe giants have been pushing ahead with plans to return to the office, devising ways to be flexible. Wells Fargo said in March that it planned to return to a "more normal mode of operation" in September, details of which will follow later.

Like its peers, Wells Fargo is keeping a close eye on the delta variant of the coronavirus as it pushes ahead with plans to bring employees back, Powell said in an interview.

According to the memo, employees of operations and contact centers will return in turn, which the company expects to be temporary. Employees in corporate functions such as risk, finance, and law, as well as non-customer-facing teams in the line of business, have the flexibility to work remotely for up to two days a week. Technical staff will be more flexible to work remotely.
