As of 12.30 pm, Bursa Malaysia's key indices showed mixed performance, with the benchmark FBM KLCI in the red, while the broader FBM 70 index saw a modest gain.

The FBM KLCI fell by 2.97 points, or 0.19%, to stand at 1,546.93, marking a slight dip in early trading. The index reached a high of 1,551.59 and a low of 1,541.45.

In contrast, the FBM 70 index rose by 32.96 points, or 0.20%, reaching 16,277.20. This indicates a positive performance for mid-cap stocks in the Malaysian market.

The FBMEMAS and FBMSHA indices also saw slight declines, dropping by 9.20 points (-0.08%) and 3.31 points (-0.03%), respectively, suggesting weaker performance in the broader market.

Among the most active stocks, NATGATE (stock code: 0270) topped the list with 581,170 shares traded, closing at RM1.600, up by 0.110 from its previous price. Other notable stocks included TANCO (stock code: 2429), which saw a slight increase of 0.015, and YTL (stock code: 4677), gaining 0.080 to close at RM2.130.

In terms of volume, FIBRO (stock code: 0355) experienced notable activity, despite a decline in price, with 216,920 shares traded.

Investors will be closely monitoring the market in the afternoon session to see if the positive trend in mid-cap stocks continues, or if the broader index can recover from its slight losses.
