Barclays plc (GB:BARC) has released an update.
Barclays PLC has recently completed a share buyback, purchasing 4,689,000 of its own shares for cancellation, which will reduce the total issued share capital to 14,971,094,283 ordinary shares. This move comes as part of an ongoing buyback program announced earlier in February, with the company having acquired over 241 million shares at an average price point since the program’s start. The shares were bought via J.P. Morgan Securities plc and will not be held in Treasury, indicating a leaner share structure for future shareholders.
