In April, automobile production and sales completed 2.406 million units and 2.359 million units, respectively, down 10.5% and 12.5% from the previous month.
The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to data released by the China Automobile Association, automobile production and sales completed 2.406 million vehicles and 2.359 million units respectively in April, down 10.5% and 12.5% from the previous month (2.687 million units and 2.694 million vehicles were completed in March, respectively), and increased by 12.8% and 9.3%, respectively.
In January-April, automobile production and sales reached 9.012 million units and 9.079 million units respectively, up 7.9% and 10.2%, respectively. The production growth rate increased 1.5 percentage points from January-March, and the sales growth rate decreased 0.3 percentage points from January-March.
In April, domestic sales of passenger cars were 1.572 million units, down 13.2% from the previous month, up 5.1% year on year; passenger car exports were 429,000 units, up 1.2% month on month and 35.9% year on year. Among them, domestic sales of traditional fuel passenger vehicles were 888,000 units, down 107,000 units from the same period last year, down 20.4% month-on-month and 10.8% year-on-year.
