Gelonghui, May 7, 丨 Mongolian Energy (00276.HK) announced that the Mongolian Taxation Bureau requires the company to pay the new supplementary tax on or before May 6, 2024. If MoEnco does not comply with payment requirements, the Inland Revenue Department can take action. Such actions include freezing Mongolian bank accounts, assets, and revenue, and forfeiting cash held and/or held by MoEnco. After considering the financial resources immediately available to the Group, and if the Mongolian government insists on immediate payment of the new supplementary taxes, this will adversely affect the Group's financial position and operations. Moenco has today sent a letter of complaint to the Inland Revenue Department objecting to the Inland Revenue Department's request to pay the new additional tax immediately. The matter may be referred to the Mongolian courts for resolution. Currently, the Group is also seeking legal advice on the new supplementary tax required in the reminder.
