HSBC Holdings plc has announced the cancellation of 47,631,200 ordinary shares previously repurchased on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, bringing the total number of ordinary shares in issue to 18,829,384,795. This adjustment in share capital means that shareholders now have a new denominator for calculating notifications of interest in the company. The bank’s investors should send any notifications regarding changes in their shareholding to the designated investor relations emails.
