According to the Zhitong Finance App, Dongfang Industrial Holdings (00430) announced the results for the year ended December 31, 2023. The group obtained revenue of HK$234.37 million, a year-on-year decrease of 4.77%; loss attributable to the company's shareholders was HK$408.16 million, and profit of HK$12.184 million for the same period last year; loss per share was 10.51 HK cents, and a final dividend of HK1.2 cents per share was planned.
According to the announcement, the loss was mainly due to a reduction in rental income of approximately HK$1.2 million or 5% to approximately HK$23.4 million (2022: HK$24.6 million); a doubling of financing costs to approximately HK$7.6 million (2022: HK$3.4 million); and a net loss of approximately HK$44.6 million (2022 net income: HK$1.5 million) recorded by a revaluation of the fair value of investment properties.
