Many Monster Beverage Corporation (NASDAQ:MNST) insiders ditched their stock over the past year, which may be of interest to the company's shareholders. The last three months saw significant insider selling at Monster Beverage. In total, President of EMEA Guy Carling dumped US$994k worth of shares in that time, and we didn't record any purchases whatsoever. In light of this it's hard to argue that all the insiders think that the shares are a bargain.

Does Monster Beverage Boast High Insider Ownership?

Many investors like to check how much of a company is owned by insiders. A high insider ownership often makes company leadership more mindful of shareholder interests. It's great to see that Monster Beverage insiders own 0.4% of the company, worth about US$236m. I like to see this level of insider ownership, because it increases the chances that management are thinking about the best interests of shareholders.
