The Zhitong Finance App learned that on January 9, the China Construction Machinery Industry Association released data showing that according to the Association's statistics on major excavator manufacturers, 16,698 excavators of various types were sold in December 2023, down 1.01% year on year, with 7,625 units in China, up 24% year on year; 9073 units were exported, down 15.3% year on year. From January to December 2023, a total of 19,5018 excavators were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 25.4%; in China, 8,9980 units were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 40.8%; 10,5038 units were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 4.04%.
According to the Association's statistics on major loader manufacturers, 9418 loaders of various types were sold in December 2023, an increase of 11.9% over the previous year. Its domestic market sales volume was 5,599 units, up 8.47% year on year; export sales volume was 3,819 units, up 17.3% year on year. From January to December 2023, a total of 10,3912 loaders of various types were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 15.8%. Its sales volume in the Chinese domestic market was 56,552 units, down 30.1% year on year; export sales volume was 47,360 units, up 11.5% year on year. From January to December 2023, a total of 3,595 electric loaders were sold (17 3-ton units, 2,765 5-ton units, 813 6-ton units), of which 516 were sold in December.
