According to the Zhitong Finance App, Gaosheng Group Holdings (01283) announced that the Group expects to obtain a total profit and comprehensive income of approximately HK$15.3 million in the six months ended September 30, 2023, while total profit and comprehensive income for the six months ended September 30, 2022 (same period) was approximately HK$30.9 million, with total profit and overall income falling by about 50.5%.
According to the announcement, the expected decrease in total profit and overall income is mainly due to a decrease in gross profit of about HK$4.6 million; a reduction in government subsidies for the “Employment Protection” scheme provided by the Hong Kong Government by about HK$5.5 million, leading to a reduction in other earnings; and donations to a local university to support its research projects increased by about HK$2.5 million, leading to an increase in administrative expenses.
